What it is and what it shows
The certificado de movimiento migratorio (immigration movement certificate) is the document issued by Migraciones, Peru’s immigration authority, listing your entries into and exits from Peru as recorded in its database (article 135-A of the Immigration Law regulation). It is available to Peruvians and foreigners alike.
That information is part of the Immigration Information Register (Registro de Información Migratoria), which under article 24 of Legislative Decree 1350 holds, among other data, entries into and exits from the country. Migraciones releases that information in line with the Personal Data Protection Law and the Transparency Law (article 24.6).
Period covered. The certificate covers movements from the last ten years. Older records are kept as historical data (Ninth Final Complementary Provision of DL 1350).
Cost, timing and validity
| Item | What the official source says |
|---|---|
| Cost | S/ 15.10, code 07561, according to the gob.pe page updated on 19 December 2023. The Migraciones press release of 1 August 2025 gives the same amount. |
| Where to pay | Banco de la Nación or Págalo.pe |
| How | Online, on the Migraciones Agencia Digital, twenty-four hours a day |
| Timing | The regulation sets a maximum of one business day. Migraciones says it downloads immediately and is also sent by email. |
| Validity | Three months, according to the gob.pe page |
The document number on the payment receipt must belong to the person logging in to the platform, not to a third party, according to the August 2025 Migraciones press release.
Who can request it: two official versions
- The gob.pe page and the regulation say «any adult» with an ID document can request it. For representatives, minors and people with absolute disability, they refer to special rules in the regulation. The gob.pe page cites articles 56-A, 56-B and 56-E; the regulation cites articles 56-A, 56-B and 56-C.
- The August 2025 Migraciones press release describes an option to request your own certificate or that of «a third person», by typing in their document number. The step-by-step section of the gob.pe page also mentions requesting it «para una tercera persona».
We do not pick between them. If you request someone else’s certificate, or a minor child’s, confirm with Migraciones which documents they require before you pay.
What it is used for
Migraciones says the certificate is often requested by consulates for visa applications and by public bodies for some administrative procedures.
Because it shows your entry and exit dates, it also helps you check them if you have a dispute about an overstay. If a date was recorded wrongly, the regulation provides a service to correct or cancel an immigration movement, to fix errors made when recording a foreigner’s details during immigration control or delete a duplicate record after a cancelled flight, with a maximum of ten business days (article 135-B).
The apostille
If you will use the certificate abroad, you may be asked to apostille it. The Foreign Ministry (Cancillería) apostilles digital documents online for S/ 18.00, according to its gob.pe page updated on 22 June 2026, as long as the document:
- is a PDF electronically signed by the official;
- has a verification method, such as a QR code or a link; and
- was signed by an official registered with the Foreign Ministry.
We found no official source saying whether the immigration movement certificate meets those conditions. Check the document you download and ask before paying, because once the digital apostille is paid it cannot be cancelled. The Foreign Ministry also asks you to confirm that the destination country accepts a digital apostille. The full procedure is on apostille in Peru.

The August 2025 Migraciones press release describes the «tercero» option, which asks for the other person's document number.
